Video Storyboard (animated)

Storyboard ~ (animated)

I have created this animated storyboard as it will allow me to see what my video will roughly look like when creating/editing it together. Placing images/stills of the shot in order I believe reflect both the overall ‘feel’ of the video and gives a clear outline of the ‘movement’ as it progresses. Taking the shots either from the filming I took (screen-shots) or from photography taken on set I think is a lot more effective than if I were to draw/illustrate a storyboard. This is because you get the sense of colour, movement and the overall ‘sense’ of the video when actually seeing the actors/cast and powder paint (main aspects) in ‘play’/action-working together to finally create my final music video.

Before finally editing my music video together I placed/ordered the final/selected shots from filming in correspondence to my shot-breakdown (script). This meant that I could not only check I had all the specific shots captured/as I wanted them specifically (in case of the need to have a re-shoot) and get an overall ‘sense’ of the video and see what aspects I either needed to change or add-in (e.g. putting more than one shot to a lyric).

^I placed the shots/filming of the main powder paint ‘fights’ as it will be easier to add them into the video when editing it (where I have left gaps in the main order//image above). This is because the seven pieces of filming are long ‘takes’ including large amount of recording in one shot-meaning that when editing them ‘into’ the creation of my music video, having them in a separate folder/order is a lot more easier/effective).
